Banyan Tree Hotels & Resort new intimate and luxury resort has finally opened – located right next to a powder white sandy beach and lush mountains. This is a resort beyond the ordinary.
Beautifully situated on a verdant hillside, surrounded by Thailand’s National Park – Tubkaek National Park – Banyan Tree Krabi offers spectacular views of limestone cliffs in the crystal clear waters of the Andaman Sea.
This is the fifth hotel to open at Tubkaek Beach, a 20 km coastline away from the more popular Ao Nang and Railay beaches of Krabi. Approximately 45 minutes’ taxi trip from Krabi International Airport.
By offering only 72 pool suites and villas – each comes with its own private pool and sunset views – guests are offered an intimate and luxurious stay beyond the ordinary.
All suites and villas are modern and bright with gentle tones of wood, stone and sand and go in «modern-chic» style. The highlight is the sumptuous double bed with its private terrace with a pool, giving guests the feeling of being on their own secluded island.
The hotel offers two restaurants, and a beach bar, a children’s club, a training centre, meeting centre and in keeping with Banyan Trees global wellbeing branding – a rainforest-themed spa.
One of the highlights is the ‘Bird’s Nest’ table, perched precariously among the trees around the elevated restaurant Saffron. The restaurant is located so high that you have to use an electric funicular to reach it.
With its elevated location, it offers dramatic views of Krabi’s world-famous limestone miracle and a beautiful sunset – guaranteed the perfect spot for memorable romantic dinners and Instagram moments.
Banyan Tree is renowned for its spa experience, and this resort is no exception. The spa will have a sense of ‘Thai-ness’ with its local treatment of traditional ingredients.
Banyan Tree Krabi opened on 24 October and is open to reservations.
