Bird Group executive director Ankur Bhatia passes away

The 48 years old Dr Ankur Bhatia, a prominent personality and the Executive Director of Bird Group has passed away, due to massive cardiac arrest. Yet an official statement is awaited to know the exact reason for his sudden demise. 

Dr Ankur Bhatia was an alumnus of King’s College, University of London. Dr Bhatia was one of the most prolific and outstanding leaders. He has always lead the way and has formulated multiple drivers of growth which has resulted in significant growth of the company at large. Dr Bhatia has been credited for bringing the Amadeus brand to the Indian subcontinent in 1994, which in today’s scenario is leading the market and providing all sort of travel technology for travel agents as well as the airlines.
Dr Bhatia was ascribed with piloting Reservation Data Maintenance (India), IT-enabled software development and service support company for managing back-end airline operations and inventory control. 
The Bird Group’s IT services and R&D foray with Bird Information Systems present technology and solutions to the various airlines. Furthermore, the B2B distribution channel of BirdRes, ensures that the people of the travel industry are able to efficiently manage all aspects of their content and payment needs in a flexible way.

With an abundance of knowledge and wisdom about the travel market as well as decades of experience in the service industry, Ankur Bhatia has widened the horizon for the hospitality sector. Under Bird Hospitality Services, he has ensured to set up new standards and world-renowned hospitality virtue through Roseate Hotels & Resorts. With the hard work of Ankur Bhatia, the group now owns and manages properties in UK and India. 

Dr Bhatia was an all-rounder of the travel industry. He expressed his concerns about the travel and aviation industry and was amongst the most trusted commentator on India’s aviation and tourism industry.

The news came as a shock to everyone and is a huge loss for the industry.
