Just a few weeks after announcing its entry into the hotel search business, Google has now added vacation rentals to its evolving platform — letting you choose from a plethora of rental options worldwide.
The new feature enables travellers to narrow down their search using price and amenity filters, browse photos, read reviews and see rates from multiple travel partners. The process is user friendly — once you have selected the property and are ready to book just click “Book” to complete the transaction on the travel partner’s page.

All property information and bookings are provided and done by Google’s travel partners —Expedia, Homeaway, Hotel.com, NextPax, RedAwning, Rentals United, Trip Advisor, and VRBO.

Travellers keen to reduce travel-planning time, can speed up the reservation process by logging in to their Google accounts for direct transfer of individual information and payment via Google Pay.

The vacation rental feature is currently available on mobile and will be extended to the desktop in coming months.
