Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has forayed into the food delivery segment with the launch of Qmin.

As a part of this, patrons can now order gourmet delicacies from the brand’s signature restaurants including Golden Dragon and Souk from Taj Mahal Palace; Thai Pavilion and Trattoria from President; and Ming Yang from Taj Lands End.

The launch will cover ten markets in India such as Delhi, Chennai and Bengaluru among others over a period of five weeks.

The Qmin mobile application will be launched on July 25, followed by the gourmet Qmin Shop in August. Meanwhile, guests can call on 1800 266 7646 to place their orders.

Qmin will be integrated with the brand’s loyalty programme in September, where guests can earn and burn points using the service.

Safety measures adopted are contactless delivery; mandatory use of protective gear for delivery executives in sanitised vehicles; eco-friendly packaging and customised insulation boxes to preserve the food whilst being delivered.

Puneet Chhatwal, managing director and chief executive officer, IHCL said, “This addition will augment the group’s F&B offerings leveraging a digital platform to address growing consumer demand for online gourmet food delivery services.

“Qmin will scale up in the months ahead to include the gourmet Qmin Shop with delicatessen-based food choices. Taj has been home to our guests for more than a century. With the launch of Qmin, we bring Taj to their homes.”
