Madhya Pradesh to be host for ATTA’s first marketplace in Asia

The Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA) will for the first time conduct its marketplace event, AdventureNEXT in Asia in Madhya Pradesh, India. AdventureNEXT will be a three-day affair from December 3 to 5, 2018, and witness deliberations on the theme, ‘Pulse of tomorrow’ in Bhopal. ATTA will be organising this event in partnership with Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board (MPTB) and Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India (ADTOI).

AdventureNEXT is ATTA’s initiative to offer local suppliers a chance to present themselves to international buyers and media through a marketplace format. AdventureNEXT Madhya Pradesh is expected to witness 350 delegates comprising around 70 international buyers. Along with the marketplace, there will be educational sessions which besides the theme, will focus on topics like sustainable tourism.

Jake Finifrock, Regional Director – Asia, ATTA ,said, “ATTA is very pleased to announce its first marketplace in Asia in a country which is full of diversity and has a lot of scope in terms of adventure tourism. We have 23 members at present in India, and through this marketplace event we will try to educate the members of trade on ATTA’s initiatives and influence them to work together for the sustainable tourism future.”

There will be pre and post tours for the delegates attending the marketplace. Pre-tours will be within Madhya Pradesh while post tours will be conducted across India.
