Poland and India will have direct air connectivity in the next two years. This was revealed by Tomasz Lukaszuk, Ambassador of Republic of Poland, India. “We plan to have direct flights between the two countries, which will boost tourism between both the nations. We are still in talks for the same, and expect the direct flights to start in the next two years. Most of the Polish tourists visit Delhi, Kerala, Goa and Jaipur. Ayurveda and Yoga are very popular among them. There is great potential of tourism exchange between Poland and India.”
In Poland, the most visited towns by Indian tourists are Zamosc – a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Kazimierz Dolny, revealed Lukaszuk. The Embassy of India in Warsaw issues 20,000 visas for Indian tourists annually. “The two countries can gain a lot from Spa tourism, eco-tourism and agro-tourism,” explained the Ambassador.
“From India, we are inviting Bollywood movie makers to shoot in Poland. The government is contributing to the cost,” he shared. “A delegation of 20 members attended the International Film Festival of India(IFFI) last year. This year too, a 20 member delegation will visit the festival in Goa. We also conduct annual roadshows in India,” Lukaszuk stated.
