Singapore Airlines ties up with STB to promote Premium Economy cabin class

Introduces special offer on Singapore Explorer Pass for passengers

On the side-lines of its newly launched Premium Economy Cabin class, the seating of which is being displayed at the DLF Promenade Mall, New Delhi, Singapore Airlines has also tied up with the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) to introduce a special offer for its passengers. “In collaboration with STB, Singapore Airlines passengers can purchase the Singapore Explorer Pass which will give them access to 23 attractions and special rate benefit until validity. For the pass, the booking and travel is valid till March 28, 2016,” said Chang Chee Pey, Executive Director for South Asia, Middle East and Africa, STB.

Moreover, extending the frequent flyer partnership, the KrisFlyer members booking a Singapore Airline Premium Economy return ticket from Delhi or Mumbai will receive a complimentary one way Premium Economy ticket on Vistara. The offer is available till December 31, 2015 for travel until March 31, 2016.

The carrier will be rolling out its new cabin class on Airbus A380 on Delhi route from October 25, 2015 and on the Mumbai route from January 2, 2016, on evening flights only. Going forward, the cabin class will also be made available on 19 Airbus A380s, 19 Boeing 777-300ERs and first 20 Airbus A350s on the global network of the carrier.

David Lau, General Manager India, Singapore Airlines, said, “Following a two-year development programme and an investment of about USD 80 Million, the new seats have been unveiled. It is a new way of travel for Indian travellers and we are focussing on the marketing of the product. Family travellers, senior corporate travellers and corporate travellers on incentive trip are showing great interest in the new cabin class.”
