Celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck, who has been preparing the menu for the Academy Awards party since 1995, featured Black Sea Flatbread and Dried Apricots Stuffed with Clotted Cream on his menu.
The Academy Awards, popularly known as the Oscars, is one of the most prestigious awards ceremonies in the world. Now in its 94th year, the star-studded awards ceremony was held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on the night of March 27. At the party following the ceremony, Turkish dishes impressed the attendees, who included world-famous movie stars, artists, and producers.
Wolfgang Puck, the globally renowned chef who has prepared the menu for the Oscars parties since 1995, featured Black Sea Flatbread (Karadeniz Pidesi) and Dried Apricots Stuffed with Clotted Cream (Kaymaklı Kayısı Tatlısı) on this year’s party menu. Both of them were savoured for the first time by cinema’s most notable figures and the dishes received considerable acclaim.
Wolfgang Puck, who prepared the menu for the party, said, “Türkiye is one of the richest cuisines of the world thanks to its traditional recipes and organic products. There are many recipes and products to discover in Turkish cuisine. All seven regions of Türkiye are full of flavour, history, and culture. There are many cities in Türkiye that must be visited and that have delicious food. My family and I visit Türkiye every summer with pleasure”.
