This June, as part of the unique alliance between Oberoi Hotels and Resorts and Mandarin Oriental, Vetro at The Oberoi, Mumbai is welcoming Michelin-starred Chef Luigi Stinga from Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi to present an exceptional culinary experience of exquisitely crafted Italian delicacies.
With a culinary journey that includes stints at two Michelin-starred restaurants Don Alfonso, Quattro Passi, II Pelicano and Eta, and three Michelin-starred Piazza Duomo, all in Italy, Chef Luigi Stinga brings his bounteous skills and knowledge to Vetro at The Oberoi, Mumbai from June 16-18, 2023.
Born and raised in Naples, Chef Stinga trained under one of Italy’s most renowned chefs, Antonio Guida, in the kitchens of Mandarin Oriental Milan, before being posted to Southeast Asia and thereafter working as a Chef de Cuisine at Talea in the UAE’s bustling capital, Abu Dhabi.
Chef Luigi Stinga, Chef de Cuisine at Talea by Antonia Guida, Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi said, “Inspired by “Cucina di Famiglia” i.e. family-style cuisine, I look forward to presenting a simple yet enriched menu with recipes like Raviolo Agnello and Pastinaca – Ravioli Filled with Lamb & Parsnip Purea, L’uovo Tartufo – Slow Cooked Egg with Black Truffle, Sedano Rapa – Celeriac in Three Consistencies, Vegan Jus & Black Truffle, and of course, Italy’s favourite Tiramisu, also known as the “Tuscan Trifle”, a dessert originating from the region of Treviso, Italy. I hope this innovative “Cucina di Famiglia” menu makes for an outstanding culinary experience at Vetro at The Oberoi, Mumbai. I’ve always been in pursuit of ingenious new flavours and cooking techniques to create classic Italian dishes, and I look forward to showcasing the very best of these here in India’s city of dreams”.
