Etihad Airways will resume passenger flights to London Heathrow and Manchester from Sunday (August 8), following the announcement that the UAE has been added to the UK’s Amber List.

Services from Abu Dhabi will operate three times daily to London and daily to Manchester.

Unvaccinated passengers travelling from the UAE will be required to present a negative PCR test 72 hours before departure and to undergo ten days of home quarantine, as well as follow up Covid-19 tests on day two and day eight.

Fully vaccinated customers who had their vaccine administered in the UK, US or Europe are exempt from quarantine and the day eight test.

The airline’s three daily flights to London Heathrow have been scheduled to offer “a choice of conveniently timed departures and arrivals”, and all 28 weekly services between Abu Dhabi and the UK will be operated by a Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.

This week fellow Gulf carrier Emirates announced plans to resume flights to Glasgow, with a four times weekly service operated by a B777-200LR aircraft.
