dallas-fort-international airportMumbai 10th January 2013: Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) International Airport today unveiled an interactive kiosk that explains NextGen, the next generation air traffic control solution from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The informational kiosk, located at Terminal C, Gate 17, is designed to educate the public about NextGen and the benefits it will create. NextGen is an umbrella term for the ongoing transformation of the National Airspace System to enable more efficient use of airspace and airports.

“This kiosk is another way that DFW Airport can serve as an active and involved supporter of NextGen technologies, and share the great story with our customers,” said Jim Crites, executive vice president of operations for DFW International Airport. “We are firm believers that NextGen will allow our current aviation infrastructure to be better utilized, and that it will make air travel more efficient and safer.”

“The FAA has made tremendous strides in developing and implementing new technologies that will meet the needs of travelers during the next century,” said Teri Bruner, the FAA’s Southwest Region Administrator. “We are excited to work with DFW Airport on this NextGen kiosk because it gives us an opportunity to share our progress directly with the traveling public.”
