TAT New Delhi recently organized a trip for TAT lady golf ambassador Ms Vani Kapoor to Thailand to play golf alongside other Indian golfers at The Lady Golf Challenge 2018. The tournament was organized at Alpine Golf and Sports Club, Pathum Thani Bangkok on 3rd August 2018. The tournament was a part of the Lady Golf Challenge project, a joint effort between TAT’s overseas offices and local agencies to promote the ongoing ladies special month in Thailand that will be celebrated throughout August 2018, as the month for the Women’s Journey Thailand campaign, a way of commemorating Her Majesty Queen Sirikit’s birthday on 12 August. This very special initiative is also to mark the Royal benevolence of H. M. the Queen of Thailand, especially in her promotion of the well-being for the Thai people and the foundation of arts and crafts.
Thailand is fast becoming the most popular and a favorite destination for golf enthusiasts with beautiful golf courses in Hua Hin, Chiang Mai, Krabi, Phuket, Khao Yai and Samui. Destination diversities and vast choices of golf courses along with modern facilities and an excellent infrastructure has helped golfing trips increase significantly in Thailand. There are golf courses to suit every preference. All are located in highly accessible areas with fast and convenient door-to-door transfers possible within several hours’ travel time.
But no mention of Thailand golf would be complete without mention of their caddies. Yes, there are caddies, but what makes Thailand special is that the caddies are all women. Most of the better golf courses have these knowledgeable, smartly dressed young women caddies who make a world of difference to your golfing experience.
