The Outbound Tour Operators Association of India (OTOAI) had the privilege of meeting with Hon’ble Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Union Cabinet Minister for Culture and Tourism, to address critical matters shaping the future of India’s outbound tourism sector.
A key focus of the discussion was the pressing issue of Tax Collected at Source (TCS). The Minister gave a patient hearing to the delegation’s concerns, reaffirming the Ministry’s commitment to constructive dialogue and its recognition of the travel trade’s role in India’s global tourism footprint.
During the meeting, OTOAI extended a formal invitation to the Hon’ble Minister to grace the upcoming OTOAI Convention 2025 in Moscow as the Guest of Honour, underscoring the association’s continued emphasis on industry-government collaboration.
The OTOAI delegation comprised senior leadership, including Immediate Past President Mr. Riaz Munshi, Vice President Mr. Shravan Bhalla, General Secretary Mr. Sidharth Khanna, and Executive Committee Member Mr. Vineet Gopal.
This high-level engagement marks another important stride in OTOAI’s ongoing mission to advocate for policy support and strategic growth of India’s outbound travel industry.
