Singapore’s Mandai Wildlife Reserve has unveiled its latest attraction, Curiosity Cove Singapore, the nation’s largest indoor, nature-themed playscape. Spanning 4,600 sqm, the immersive facility is designed to nurture children’s curiosity about ecosystems through multi-sensory, adventure-based learning, complementing the reserve’s growing portfolio of wildlife and nature experiences.

An Immersive Nature Play Experience

Curiosity Cove invites children aged 3 to 12 to explore four themed zones—Wetlands, Forestlands, Grasslands, and Drylands—each inspired by real-world ecosystems. Over 30 interactive touchpoints engage young visitors’ senses while supporting cognitive, social, and motor development. Children can navigate a “snake’s belly,” climb an orangutan-inspired tree-bed platform, and trigger sounds and lights by shaking suspended vines, blending physical activity with educational exploration.

The indoor playscape encourages self-led discovery, fostering an early connection to the natural world and serving as a foundation for outdoor wildlife encounters across Mandai. By combining playful adventure with ecological learning, Curiosity Cove enhances the reserve’s mission to cultivate environmental awareness among young visitors.

Mandai Wildlife Reserve: A World-Class Destination

Over the past decade, Mandai Wildlife Reserve has evolved into a world-leading wildlife and nature destination. Its growing attractions include:

  • Rainforest Wild (2025) – Asia’s first adventure-based zoological park featuring elevated walkways, forest treks, and multi-layered rainforest exploration.
  • Bird Paradise (2023) – One of Asia’s largest bird parks, home to 10 zones and eight walk-through aviaries, representing habitats from across the globe.
  • Mandai Boardwalk – A 3.3 km trail offering reservoir views and opportunities to observe native wildlife.
  • Colugo Camp – A permanent camping facility providing guided wildlife explorations and immersive overnight stays.
  • Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree – The Banyan Group’s first Singapore resort, offering restorative retreats with direct access to the wildlife parks.

Additional projects, including phase two of Rainforest Wild and Exploria, an indoor multimedia attraction delivering digital expeditions into rarely seen ecosystems, are set to further enrich the Mandai visitor experience.

A Family-Friendly Destination, Rain or Shine

Curiosity Cove provides year-round access to nature-inspired learning, allowing families to engage with wildlife and ecological concepts regardless of Singapore’s tropical climate. By integrating indoor and outdoor experiences, Mandai offers a seamless nature journey, from multi-sensory play to direct interaction with living animals, cultivating a lifelong appreciation for biodiversity.

“Curiosity Cove Singapore represents a new dimension in Mandai’s mission to connect people with nature,” said a Mandai spokesperson. “Through adventure-led, hands-on learning, children can explore ecosystems in ways that are both fun and educational, complementing our outdoor wildlife parks and broader nature offerings.”

With its innovative design and educational philosophy, Curiosity Cove positions the Mandai Wildlife Reserve as Asia’s foremost destination for family-friendly wildlife tourism, offering immersive, meaningful encounters that inspire curiosity, learning, and conservation awareness.
