Planning a holiday to Saudi Arabia is about to become much easier. The Kingdom has introduced Package Visa, a new digital travel initiative that integrates the tourist visa application with holiday bookings, allowing eligible visitors to arrange flights, accommodation and their visa through a single, streamlined process. The pilot programme is being rolled out through approved travel and tourism service providers in selected international markets before a wider global launch.

The new initiative marks another step in Saudi Arabia’s efforts to make visiting the country more convenient as it continues to expand its tourism sector. Rather than applying for a visa separately after booking flights and hotels, travellers can now complete the entire process as part of one integrated travel package. Depending on the package, visitors can also include sightseeing tours, events and curated tourism experiences, making trip planning faster and more seamless.

The Package Visa builds on a series of travel reforms introduced over the past few years, including the launch of the tourist e-Visa, visa-on-arrival facilities and the Stopover Transit Visa. Together, these measures have helped fuel Saudi Arabia’s tourism growth, with the Kingdom welcoming more than 29 million international visitors in 2025, reflecting its growing appeal as one of the world’s fastest-emerging travel destinations.

Commenting on the launch, Ahmed Al Khateeb, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Tourism, said the new initiative reflects the country’s commitment to making travel simpler and more accessible. By integrating visa processing directly into travel bookings, the Kingdom aims to provide a smoother visitor experience while strengthening collaboration across the tourism sector and reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s position as an increasingly accessible global destination.

The initiative also creates new opportunities for travel companies. Approved travel and tourism service providers will be able to offer fully integrated holiday packages, making it easier for travellers to book complete itineraries while encouraging longer stays and a broader exploration of the Kingdom’s diverse attractions. Package Visa is currently available only through qualified travel providers that meet established service standards and provide round-the-clock customer support, ensuring a reliable experience from booking through arrival.

The launch comes as Saudi Arabia continues to invest heavily in tourism under its long-term development strategy, expanding visitor experiences across heritage destinations, modern cities, luxury resorts, entertainment, sporting events and natural landscapes. Simplifying the travel process has become a key priority as the Kingdom seeks to attract a growing number of international leisure travellers.

With the introduction of Package Visa, Saudi Arabia is taking another practical step towards removing barriers to travel. By bringing visa processing, flights, accommodation and experiences together in one booking journey, the Kingdom is making it easier than ever for visitors to discover a destination that continues to evolve at an unprecedented pace.
