Air Canada Vacations is marking its 50th anniversary with a global celebration, offering surprise savings on travel packages to destinations around the world. The limited-time offer is the first in a series of exciting initiatives planned to commemorate the milestone year.
Originally launched in the mid-1970s as Venturex, the company quickly became known for its all-encompassing travel experiences, including Skifaris, motor holidays, and combined flight and hotel options. As it expanded, the company evolved, rebranding to Touram in the 1980s, adding more than 40 destinations across North and South America and partnering with 30 cruise lines.
By 1990, the company officially became Air Canada Vacations to better reflect its growing portfolio of curated vacation packages, tours, and cruises.
Today, Air Canada Vacations partners with over 600 resorts across 60 sun destinations, and offers more than 350 tours in Europe, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Morocco, Dubai, and the Americas. Travelers can enjoy seamless connections with Air Canada and Air Canada Rouge flights, making it a one-stop shop for a wide variety of vacation options.
“This milestone is a tribute to the loyalty and trust of our customers, who have made memories with us over the years,” said Nino Montagnese, Vice President of Air Canada Vacations. “As a token of our gratitude, we’re starting the celebrations with surprise global savings, and we’ll be rolling out more exciting contests and vacation moments throughout the year.”
For two weeks, from now until February 23, 2025, travelers can take advantage of savings on over 50,000 Air Canada Vacations packages, covering destinations worldwide with departures through December 18, 2025. Each package includes a first checked bag and one carry-on per person. Additionally, Aeroplan® Members can earn points on the flight portion of their trip, as well as up to 12,000 bonus points on select vacation packages.
As Air Canada Vacations looks to the future, the company is not only reflecting on its remarkable history but also on the many more journeys to come for Canadian travelers.
