Air India appoints Sanjay Sharma as chief financial officer

Sharma succeeds Vinod Hejmadi, who is retiring after more than three decades with Air India.

Prior to Tata Projects, Sanjay Sharma was CFO of Tata Realty Infrastructure Limited, and managing director, head of equity capital markets at Deutsche Bank Group.

Air India on Friday announced the appointment of Sanjay Sharma as chief financial officer (CFO) with effect from June 10, 2024.

Sharma, who will report to Air India CEO and MD Campbell Wilson, has more than three decades of experience in corporate finance, investment banking and real estate sectors and joins Air India from Tata Projects where he was the CFO.

Before Tata Projects, Sharma was CFO of Tata Realty Infrastructure Limited, and managing director, and head of equity capital markets at Deutsche Bank Group.

He has also worked in various capacities at DSP Merrill Lynch in Mumbai and Merrill Lynch Asia Pacific in Hong Kong.

Sharma succeeds Vinod Hejmadi, who is retiring after more than three decades with Air India.
