Air India is set to strengthen Rajasthan’s tourism appeal with the launch of seasonal direct flights between Delhi and Jaisalmer, operating from 26 October 2025 through 28 March 2026. The new service, introduced to meet peak winter demand, will offer travelers convenient access to the “Golden City,” renowned for its desert landscapes, sandstone architecture, and cultural heritage.
The airline will operate double daily flights on the route using Airbus A320 aircraft, making it the only full-service carrier to serve Jaisalmer directly.
Seamless Connections for Domestic and International Travelers
The schedule is designed to provide smooth onward connections for passengers flying into Delhi from across India and key international markets, including Europe and the United Kingdom. With this launch, Jaisalmer joins Jaipur, Udaipur, and Jodhpur on Air India’s Rajasthan network, enhancing accessibility to the state’s heritage destinations.

Supporting Cultural Tourism Growth
Jaisalmer has long been a highlight of Rajasthan’s cultural circuit, drawing visitors with its UNESCO-listed fort, intricately carved havelis, camel safaris, and vibrant winter festivals. By aligning its new service with peak tourism months, Air India is positioning itself to capture growing demand for heritage experiences among both domestic and international travelers.
Opportunities for the Travel Trade
Industry stakeholders expect the direct service to create fresh opportunities for tour operators and travel companies packaging Rajasthan itineraries. Enhanced air access will allow Jaisalmer to feature more prominently in inbound programs and desert tourism circuits, while also supporting the region’s local economy through increased visitor numbers.
With this move, Air India is reinforcing its role in promoting cultural and heritage tourism within India, while offering travelers greater convenience and connectivity to one of Rajasthan’s most distinctive destinations.
