IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced a management agreement with Mansarovar Amusement Park & Resort to develop the Crowne Plaza Resort Nepalgunj in Nepal, set to open in early 2028. This new addition, featuring over 100 rooms, will enhance IHG’s expanding portfolio in the South West Asia region.

Nepalgunj, located in the Banke District, is a vibrant and diverse sub-metropolitan city that serves as a key transport hub for western Nepal. Positioned near the southern border with Uttar Pradesh’s Bahraich district, it is a convenient stopover for travelers between Nepal and India. Known for its trekking routes to the Dolpo Plateau and Jumla region, Nepalgunj offers a strategic gateway to the Himalayas, blending culture, adventure, and nature. The new resort will be easily accessible from Nepalgunj Airport and the India-Nepal border, catering to leisure and blended travel needs.

Upon opening, the resort will feature three distinct dining venues offering a variety of culinary experiences. Guests can unwind at the fitness center, club lounge, rejuvenating spa, and retail store. For meetings and events, the hotel will offer two meeting rooms, including a ballroom, to meet MICE demands.

IHG currently operates 50 hotels across five brands in South West Asia, including Six Senses, InterContinental Hotels and Resorts, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn Resort, and Holiday Inn Express, with 64 additional hotels in the pipeline set to open within the next 3-5 years.
