In response to the rising demand for international travel, IndiGo, India’s preferred airline, has announced the doubling of flights from Delhi to Almaty and Tbilisi beginning August 16, 2024, and to Tashkent starting August 17, 2024. The airline will increase its operations to daily flights for these destinations, a significant rise from the previous schedule of four flights per week to Tashkent and three flights per week to Almaty and Tbilisi.

IndiGo initiated flights to Tashkent, Almaty, and Tbilisi in 2023, and the addition of these flights is indicative of IndiGo’s commitment to expanding its international route capacity. This expansion is expected to enhance trade, tourism, and mobility, providing customers with more options for travel between India and the countries of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Georgia. With these additions, IndiGo will now offer daily flights to all four of its Central Asian destinations, including Baku.

Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, stated, “We are delighted to introduce additional flights to Tashkent, Almaty, and Tbilisi from Delhi. These flights are being introduced to meet the growing demand for outbound and leisure travel to these cities. With this expansion, IndiGo will operate daily flights to all four Central Asian destinations we serve: Tashkent, Almaty, Tbilisi, and Baku. The inauguration of these flights underscores IndiGo’s commitment to connecting people and places, promoting global connections, and enhancing travel experiences. As India’s leading airline, we continue to be dedicated to providing an affordable, timely, courteous, and hassle-free travel experience across our extensive network.”
