Korean Air has officially introduced a refreshed corporate identity, marking its first major brand update in 41 years. The airline revealed a modernized version of its signature Taegeuk symbol during an exclusive event, “Rising Night,” held at its headquarters in Seoul.
The new logo maintains the deep blue Taegeuk symbol, a nod to Korean heritage, while incorporating a contemporary minimalist design. Alongside the updated symbol, the “Korean Air” logotype has been refined with smooth curves and subtle brushstroke details, offering a sophisticated and modern aesthetic.
A highlight of the event was the unveiling of Korean Air’s new aircraft livery. The redesigned look features an enlarged logo and a bold “Korean” logotype, emphasizing the airline’s status as South Korea’s flagship carrier. While preserving its signature sky-blue color, Korean Air has introduced a new metallic-effect paint to enhance its premium appeal. The traditional cheatline has been replaced with a sweeping, fluid curve across the fuselage, creating a sleek and contemporary visual identity.

Walter Cho, Chairman and CEO of Hanjin Group and Korean Air, emphasized the significance of the rebrand, stating, “As a unified Korean Air, we are committed to more than just transportation—we aim to connect people, cultures and the world through the skies. With this foundation, we will build an industry-leading safety system, elevate the customer experience and strengthen trust through open communication with all stakeholders. Together, we’ll create a more connected and better world.”
In addition to the visual rebranding, the airline has introduced enhancements to its inflight services, including upgraded meal offerings curated by renowned chefs, luxury tableware, and premium-class amenity kits. These changes aim to elevate the passenger experience and align with the airline’s renewed identity.
The new branding will be gradually implemented across aircraft liveries, inflight services, airport facilities, and digital platforms, reinforcing the airline’s global presence and commitment to excellence in the aviation industry.
