In a concerted effort to elevate its profile as a premier tourist destination, the Maldives is set to embark on a promotional roadshow across India. Organized by the Maldives Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators (MATATO) and the National Hotels & Guest House Association of Maldives (NHGAM), in collaboration with the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC), this initiative will span three major cities: Bengaluru on July 22, Mumbai on July 24, and New Delhi on July 26.

This strategic initiative aims to fortify the Maldives’ presence in the Indian market, one of the fastest-growing outbound tourism markets globally. The roadshow will spotlight the Maldives’ unique attractions, from its pristine beaches and luxurious resorts to its vibrant marine life and rich cultural heritage.

Key industry representatives will deliver presentations during the roadshow, focusing on the latest tourism developments, travel packages, and exclusive deals tailored for Indian travelers. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage directly with Maldivian travel industry stakeholders, including representatives from resorts, guesthouses, liveaboards, hotel operators, tour companies, and airlines.

“India remains a pivotal market for the Maldives,” said a spokesperson for the MMPRC. “This roadshow offers an excellent platform to engage with our partners in India, showcase our unparalleled hospitality, and strengthen our tourism offerings.”

The roadshow will be supported by the Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO), India’s premier travel trade body, representing over 1,800 tour operators across the country. Additionally, the organizers have engaged with the Indian High Commission in the Maldives for support.

By fostering closer ties with the Indian travel market, the Maldives aims to attract more visitors and highlight the unique experiences that make it a sought-after destination.
