The Outbound Tour Operators Association of India (OTOAI) proudly participated in ITB India 2024, held from September 11 to 13 at the Jio World Convention Centre, BKC, Mumbai. Stationed at Booth No. D29, OTOAI garnered significant interest and engagement, reaffirming its role as a key stakeholder in the travel and tourism industry.

Leading the delegation were Mr. Riaz Munshi (President), Mr. Shravan Bhalla (Vice President), Ms. Monia Kapoor (Joint Secretary), and Ms. Arshdeep Anand (Executive Committee Member), who actively represented OTOAI throughout the event. The platform served as a vital opportunity for industry networking, knowledge exchange, and building global alliances.

A major highlight of OTOAI’s presence at ITB India 2024 was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Iranian Tour Operators Association (ITOA). This strategic agreement was formalized by Mr. Mostafa Shafie Shakib (Chairman, ITOA) and Mr. Riaz Munshi (President, OTOAI) at the OTOAI booth, witnessed by senior representatives from both associations. This MoU marks a significant step toward deepening tourism cooperation between India and Iran.

Additionally, OTOAI had the privilege of engaging with Ms. Joyce Wang and Ms. Nurul Ain, whose presence underscored the importance of strengthening ties with global tourism partners. Ms. Wang’s insights into the India-China tourism corridor were particularly valuable in exploring future collaboration and mutual growth opportunities.

ITB India remains one of the country’s most influential travel trade events, bringing together industry professionals, tour operators, travel agencies, and tourism boards from across the world. The event fosters dialogue, partnerships, and innovation in the travel and tourism sector.

Buoyed by the success of this year’s participation, OTOAI looks forward to ITB India 2025 and to continuing its mission of promoting robust, responsible, and resilient global tourism.
