The Oberoi Group is to open a serviced residences property On South Audley Street in London’s Mayfair, marking Oberoi’s debut in Europe.
The 23-residence property is set to open in 2022, and will be housed within a Grade II listed building on the corner of South Audley Street and South Street, close to Hyde Park and The Dorchester hotel.
The building was purchased by Cain International in 2016, and the ground floor currently houses china, silverware and glass shop Thomas Goode.
It’s not clear whether Thomas Goode will remain as tenants, although according to this brochure from 2018 and accompanying website the company is set to vacate “for new accommodation on a global scale and to facilitate internet sales”.
What is known is that aside from the serviced residences, the property will offer “a small restaurant and refurbished retail space”.
Interestingly Thomas Goode already has an association with Oberoi, with Forbes reporting that the company opened ” a mini-museum and boutique at The Oberoi, Mumbai” last year.

The Oberoi Group currently owns and operates 33 five-star hotels and luxury resorts across India, Indonesia, Morocco, Mauritius, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
