In a significant initiative aimed at fostering dialogue among the next generation of travel industry leaders, ASEGO successfully hosted the inaugural edition of Built & Beyond, a first-of-its-kind conversation series dedicated to young entrepreneurs steering some of India’s most respected travel brands and family-led businesses.

Held at ASEGO’s headquarters in Mumbai, the event brought together travel professionals, industry stakeholders, and members of the travel trade media for an evening focused on collaboration, innovation, leadership, and the future of the travel ecosystem.

The programme began with an exclusive roundtable discussion over high tea, where participants engaged in candid conversations on the rapidly evolving travel landscape. Topics ranged from changing traveller expectations and technological transformation to entrepreneurship, succession planning, and the challenges of balancing legacy with innovation in a competitive marketplace.

The highlight of the evening was the recording of the inaugural episode of Built & Beyond, hosted by Dev Karvat, Founder and CEO of ASEGO. The discussion featured a distinguished panel of emerging industry leaders representing diverse segments of the travel business:

  • Neil Patil, Veena World
  • Adil Karim, FlyCreative Group
  • Suprabh Oza, My Travel Bazaar
  • Kulin Shah, Kulin Kumar Holidays
  • Anosh Kanga, Ahura Travels & Ahura Explorience

The conversation explored how future-ready travel businesses can thrive through innovation while preserving the values and foundations established by previous generations. Participants shared insights into leadership transitions, business growth strategies, digital adoption, customer-centric approaches, and the importance of industry-wide collaboration.

Adding further depth to the programme was a guest speaker session by Bhavya Kapoor, Managing Director, Xponentia Capital Partners, who delivered a thought-provoking presentation titled “Build to Sell vs Build to Last.”The session encouraged attendees to reflect on long-term value creation, sustainability, and strategic business building in a rapidly changing marketplace.

A recurring theme throughout the evening was the need for stronger collaboration across different travel segments. Despite representing varied niches and business models, the delegates emphasized the importance of creating opportunities for peer-to-peer learning and open dialogue among emerging leaders. The discussions underscored how collective knowledge sharing can help strengthen the industry’s future and create a more connected travel ecosystem.

More than a traditional panel discussion, Built & Beyond positioned itself as a platform designed to capture the perspectives of tomorrow’s travel leaders. By facilitating meaningful conversations and documenting industry viewpoints, ASEGO aims to create an ongoing forum that encourages innovation, leadership development, and constructive engagement across the travel trade.

The first episode of Built & Beyond is scheduled to be released later this month across ASEGO’s digital platforms and will feature extended discussions, personal leadership journeys, business insights, and forward-looking perspectives from the participating delegates.

As the travel industry continues to evolve, initiatives such as Built & Beyond are expected to play an important role in nurturing the next generation of industry leaders and shaping the future direction of travel entrepreneurship in India.
