VFS Global has expanded its South Korea visa application services across South Asia with the addition of a new visa application centre in New Delhi, bringing its regional network to six centres across India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

The new Korea Visa Application Centre at Shivaji Stadium Metro Station in Connaught Place, New Delhi, was inaugurated on 15 September by H.E. Lee Seong-ho, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to India.

VFS Global currently operates South Korea visa application centres in New Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai and Kolkata in India. The company has also established centres in Dhaka and Colombo, giving applicants in three South Asian markets greater access to visa application services.

The company said the expansion brings its South Korea visa application network to nine centres across six countries globally and comes as VFS Global marks 25 years of providing visa, passport and citizen services.

Strengthening India-South Korea travel links

Lee Seong-ho, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to India, said the new centre would support closer ties between the two countries by providing applicants with a more accessible and efficient visa application process.

He also highlighted the role of streamlined visa services in facilitating travel and strengthening people-to-people exchanges between India and South Korea.

Yummi Talwar, Chief Operating Officer – South Asia at VFS Global, said the expansion reflected growing demand for South Korea visas among travellers across the region.

The company said the new and existing centres are designed to provide upgraded facilities and trained staff while making the application process more convenient for applicants.

VFS Global’s official South Korea visa portal for India provides visa application services covering categories including visiting, business, tourist, short-term employment, student, research and dependent visas.
