Pullman Bengaluru Airport and ibis Bengaluru Airport project with SLK Group scheduled to open in 2032
Bengaluru: Accor is set to expand its presence in Bengaluru’s airport corridor with a proposed 450-room dual-branded hotel development, comprising Pullman Bengaluru Airport and ibis Bengaluru Airport.
The project, being developed by Bengaluru-based SLK Group, will feature 200 rooms under the Pullman brand and 250 rooms under ibis, according to the announcement. The development is scheduled to open in 2032.
The project will bring Accor’s premium and economy offerings together at a single destination, targeting a broad mix of business and leisure travellers as well as MICE groups, airline crews, transit passengers and long-stay project teams.
Dual-brand development targets North Bengaluru
The development is planned for Bengaluru’s northern airport corridor, an area that has seen increasing commercial and infrastructure activity around the airport.
The project is expected to cater to demand generated by businesses and developments in sectors including aviation, technology, aerospace, logistics and other commercial activities in North Bengaluru.
Ranju Alex, CEO, Accor South Asia, said the dual-branded concept would enable the group to serve different traveller segments within a single hospitality destination.
“We are pleased to bring this dual-branded development to Bengaluru, catering to the needs of premium and economy travellers by integrating two distinct Accor brands in one location,” Alex said.
She added that the project reflects the changing airport ecosystem in Bengaluru, where business, technology, aviation and expanding commercial districts are contributing to demand for accommodation across multiple traveller segments.
Accor has previously identified Bengaluru as an important growth market. Its India expansion has included developments around the airport, including the Novotel Bengaluru Airport Varun and ibis Styles Bengaluru Airport Varun.
Pullman to feature extensive meetings space
According to the project announcement, Pullman Bengaluru Airport will comprise 200 rooms and three food and beverage outlets.
The facilities are planned to include a speciality restaurant, lobby lounge bar and all-day dining restaurant.
The hotel is also expected to feature approximately 1,500 sq m of meetings and events space, with pre-function and ancillary areas designed to accommodate conferences, corporate meetings and social events.
The configuration is intended to position the Pullman property as a venue for business travel and MICE activity in addition to conventional accommodation demand.
ibis to add 250 rooms
ibis Bengaluru Airport will add 250 rooms to the development, along with approximately 300 sq m of conference and event space.
The economy hotel will include an all-day dining restaurant and lobby lounge and bar.
Both hotels are planned to share access to a fitness centre and swimming pool, creating a combined hospitality offering across the two brands.
The dual-brand model is consistent with Accor’s broader strategy of using its portfolio across premium, midscale and economy segments to address different traveller requirements. Accor’s global portfolio includes Pullman and ibis among its major brands.
SLK expands hospitality platform
The development represents a significant project for SLK Hotels & Resorts, the hospitality platform of the SLK Group.
Manish Singhvi, CEO, SLK Hotels & Resorts, said the company sees Bengaluru’s airport corridor as a major growth area and intends to develop hospitality infrastructure to support its expansion.
“Pairing Pullman and ibis on a single campus will let us serve every traveller the corridor attracts, from global executives to large MICE groups to airline crews and long-stay project teams,” Singhvi said.
He described the development as an anchor project for SLK Hotels & Resorts, which the group is building across high-growth corridors and island destinations.
SLK Group’s official corporate website identifies SLK Hotels & Resorts as one of the group’s four operating platforms, alongside Avo Automation, Amin Properties and Maldivian Mermaid. It also lists Manish Singhvi as CEO of SLK Hotels & Resorts.
Airport corridor evolves beyond transit demand
The proposed development reflects the changing role of Bengaluru’s airport corridor, where accommodation demand is increasingly linked not only to air passengers but also to business activity, meetings, projects and longer stays.
The area around Kempegowda International Airport has emerged as an important development zone for North Bengaluru, with commercial and technology-related activity adding to demand for hospitality infrastructure.
For Accor, the project would further strengthen its Bengaluru pipeline across different accommodation categories, while giving the group an opportunity to serve multiple customer segments through two established brands at the same location.
For SLK Hotels & Resorts, the development marks an expansion of its hospitality portfolio and its stated strategy of investing in high-growth travel and business corridors.
Accor continues India expansion
Accor has continued to expand its Indian portfolio across luxury, premium, midscale and economy segments. Its brands in the country include Raffles, Fairmont, Sofitel, Pullman, Grand Mercure, Novotel, Mercure, ibis and ibis Styles.
The group has previously highlighted new hotel signings and openings in India as part of its strategy to increase its presence across major business and leisure markets.
The proposed Bengaluru development would add 450 rooms to that pipeline, with the two hotels currently scheduled to open in 2032.
