Abu Dhabi’s Emirates Palace Hotel completes conversion to Mandarin Oriental brand

Abu Dhabi’s Emirates Palace Hotel has officially rebranded under the Mandarin Oriental portfolio, following a renovation project covering the property’s rooms and public spaces. The luxury hotel group first announced plans to take over the management of the hotel from Kempinski in 2019 and phased renovation works have since been carried out across the beachfront property.

The 390-room Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental now features new spa and sports facilities, as well as renovated rooms including newly designed signature suites and “the region’s very first vegan rooms”, offering  “compassionate design, sustainable bedding, plant-based in-room dining options and cruelty-free bath amenities”. The hotel features 12 dining venues including the one-Michelin-starred Talea by Antonio Guida, as well as Episodes, described as “a tea apothecary, a deli, a cake shop and a gelateria”.

Other facilities include two swimming pools, hotel gardens and a private marina, while the new 1,500 sqm spa is now home to exclusive Acqua di Parma Barbiere services and retail products, as well as skincare products by Tata Harper and Oto.

Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental joins the group’s existing Middle Eastern hotels in Doha, Dubai, Marrakesh and Riyadh, with a forthcoming Kuwait property set to open by 2028.
