Strengthening India’s Domestic Connectivity
The expansion aligns with Air India Express’ strategy to develop a more inclusive and accessible air travel network. By linking historical cities, tourist hubs, and fast-growing regional centres to the national capital, the airline aims to support business travel, leisure tourism, and regional mobility.
This initiative follows a period of rapid growth, particularly from Delhi and Bengaluru, Air India Express’ largest operational hubs. With a fleet of 115 aircraft and over 500 daily flights to 43 domestic and 17 international destinations, the airline continues to reinforce its role as a key connector across India and the wider region.
Celebrating India’s Cultural Heritage
Through its ‘Tales of India’ initiative, Air India Express highlights India’s rich cultural identity, featuring over 50 indigenous art forms from more than 25 states on aircraft liveries. These include traditional crafts such as Madhubani, Bandhani, and Kalamkari, reflecting the airline’s commitment to cultural representation.
Passengers can also explore Xpress Holidays, the airline’s curated travel platform offering complete packages with flights, accommodation, transport, and experiential activities across domestic and international destinations. Onboard, guests enjoy freshly prepared Gourmair meals, while the airline’s digital-first approach ensures a seamless booking and travel experience.
Expansive Operations from Delhi NCR
Air India Express currently operates over 400 weekly flights from Delhi (IGI Airport) to 24 domestic destinations, including Amritsar, Ayodhya, Bengaluru, Goa, Guwahati, Jaipur, Mumbai, Patna, Srinagar, Surat, Udaipur, and more. International services include Muscat and Sharjah.
Additionally, the airline operates more than 60 weekly flights from Hindon Airport (Ghaziabad) to nine domestic destinations, including Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Goa, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai, Patna, and Varanasi.
With these new additions, Air India Express reinforces its reputation as one of India’s most dynamic carriers, enhancing tourism, regional accessibility, and cultural exchange across the country.
