Delta has outlined plans for new lounge facilities at New York JFK’s T4, following the carrier’s recent consolidation of operations at the terminal.
JFK’s Terminal 2 closed earlier this month, with Delta now operating solely out of T4, making use of ten new gates which have opened on Concourse A.
The Concourse features the carrier’s digital back wall with gate information, as well as self-service check-in kiosks, “enhanced bag drop locations” and upgraded toilets.
This summer Delta will open a 14,000-square-foot Sky Club on Concourse A with seating for 200 guests, joining the airline’s existing Sky Club at Concourse B.
Ahead of this eligible customers can access a Delta Sky Club Express facility, “providing limited seating and beverage service along with quick grab-and-go options”.
As previously reported the carrier will open its first Delta One Club lounge at JFK, exclusively for the use of its business class customers.
The lounge is currently scheduled to open in early 2024 and will be located next to the main security checkpoint in Terminal 4. Measuring 36,000 square feet it will also be the largest lounge in Delta’s network.
The airport’s Terminal 4 is also undergoing an expansion of its Concourse B, scheduled to be completed by this autumn, with features including 28 gates, an expanded security checkpoint and baggage reclaim area, and new toilets.
