DiscoverCars.com has investigated the most popular romantic destinations according to TikTok. They did this by using a seed list from Forbes and ranking the top 23 destinations according to the number of TikTok views on their relevant hashtags.
The top five most popular romantic destinations according to TikTok were:
- Doha, Qatar

In first place, the Qatari city of Doha was revealed as the most popular romantic destination. The luxurious city boasted 7.4 billion views on TikTok with the hashtags #Doha and #DohaLove.
While the city has been in the news a lot surrounding the hosting of the World Cup, Doha offers couples a wealth of shopping options and museums including the Museum of Illusions.
- Perth, Australia
#Perth & #LoveInPerth – 6,800,051,800 combined views
Next, the Australian city of Perth ranked second with a total of 6.8 billion viewers on the hashtags #Perth and #LoveInPerth.
Situated in western Australia, the ‘City of Lights’ is known for its astonishing Swan River which provides couples with picturesque views. The city is isolated from other major cities in the country.
- Queenstown, New Zealand
#Queenstown & #LoveQueenstown – 555,059,400 combined views
In third place ranked Queenstown of New Zealand with 555 thousand views on TikTok under the hashtags #Queenstown and #LoveQueenstown.
Perfect for active couples who like adventure, Queenstown offers couples the opportunity to indulge in activities such as bungee jumping and skiing throughout the colder seasons.

Placing fourth in the ranking, the Norweigan archipelago of Svalbard collected over 520 thousand views with the hashtags #Svalbard and #LoveInNorway.
Svalbard is a remote destination and is one of the most northern inhabited places in the world. Views of the mountains can be seen from miles away and breweries are available to keep couples entertained.

Rounding off the top five, the Moroccan city of Marrakesh racked up a total of 439,718,600 views on TikTok with the hashtags #Marrakesh and #MarrakechLovers.
Also known as the ‘City of Luxury’ the impressive city is the fourth largest in the Kingdom of Morocco. Couples can indulge in 5-star hotels and explore the numerous spas dotted around the city.

‘’We found it extremely interesting to see locations such as Queenstown and Svalbard make the top five, which are not particularly the tourist hotspots that come to mind when it comes to planning a romantic break. It highlights just how many options couples have available to them.’’
