Emaar Hospitality Eyes Massive Expansion Across Egypt

The new Address Beach Resort Marassi is now open, one of 10 hotels Dubai’s Mohamed Alabbar wants to open across Egypt.

This marks Egypt’s second hotel and resort under the Address Hotels and Resorts brand which is located in Dubai, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain. The hotel comprises 118 rooms and suites, 169 serviced apartments in addition to 69 cabanas located a few steps away from the sea and Marassi Marina.

Alabbar said: “Emaar aims to develop a portfolio of 10 hotels, which represents approximately 3,000 hotel rooms in Egypt’s North Coast with an investment of $860 million, including both the previously launched hotels and those that are still under construction.

“This reflects the company’s vision to enhance the hotels and hospitality sector in this destination, and building on this belief, Emaar Misr launched Address Marassi Golf Resort, in addition to renovating and launching Alamein Hotel, along with five Boutique Hotels. The company is planning to inaugurate Vida Marina Resort very soon.”

Vida Marassi Marina, Egypt (2023)

Pinned at the coast, Vida Marassi Marina plans 120 rooms and 110 serviced apartments; this property is likely to welcome guests by March 2022.

Rove Al Marjan Island (2024)

Rove Hotels’ lifestyle beach resort will open on Al Marjan Island in 2024. Rove Al Marjan Island will be the Dubai brand’s first foray into the northern emirate and falls in line with wider ambitions to spread across the UAE, according to chiefs.

The 441-key hotel promises to be colourful and full of artworks while offering itself to the “value-conscious new generation of leisure travellers.” It will also have interconnecting rooms for families, a unique beach club concept, 24-hour boutique convenience store, outdoor pool, sundecks to relax, a 24-hour gym, a 24-hour self-service laundromat, luggage store rooms, safety deposit boxes, sofa beds for extra guests, mini-fridge and more.

Rove Aljada Sharjah (TBC)

A 300-key Rove is planned for Sharjah. The hotel was first announced in 2018 and forms part of the Aljada development, a 24 million square foot integrated lifestyle destination, and a new leisure and entertainment hub for Sharjah.

Rove Mina Seyahi (TBC)

Also introduced in 2018 was Rove Mina Seyahi. The 270-room Rove Mina Seyahi and Rove Residences Mina Seyahi, a collection of 443 serviced residences, are expected to open soon in a 50-storey tower.
