Global Tourism Council announces its maiden convention at Cairo, Egypt from September 16-19, 2018

Global Tourism Council will be organizing the inaugural business convention of the Global Tourism Council. The theme of convention, ‘Innovate & Invest’ is carefully chosen to deliberate on new challenges in tourism industry, Investment sector and film archives (Bollywood).

GTC Convention 2018 will be focusing on three different verticals – Tourism Conclave, Investment Summit & Film industry connect. Hence the theme of the convention is ‘Innovate & Invest – New Challenges’.

Around 350 delegates from different business segments of India are expected to participate in the 4 day-long event, where they will interact with their Egyptian counterparts over B2B meetings.

As part of the Tourism Conclave, the Convention will offer an opportunity for delegates to explore the possibility of developing and promoting the Biblical Tourism Circuit – Jordan, Israel and Egypt. For corporate houses, the Investment Summit will facilitate opportunities for investment in sectors like agriculture, pharma, hospitality, infrastructure, energy, etc. Film-makers and production houses attending the Convention will be able to meet with their counterparts in Egypt and undertake recee of locations for shooting and explore discussions on co-productions.

With new challenges emerging every day in the industry there is a need to innovate and create new ideas and opportunities. One needs to undertake new challenges, tap untouched areas, and bring newer elements to the existing arena to attract the ever growing market of new generation travelers for greater returns. The industry needs to invest in digital marketing to reach out and connect better with our customers which largely comprises of young, upbeat tech friendly travellers.

Global Tourism Council was founded on December 9, 2016 and is recognised by Government of India charitable trust that represents the Global Trade & Tourism Industry. It is driven by the best of professionals from India and across the world as knowledge partners and committed to the advancement of the global trade & tourism industry and Investment sectors.

Speaking about the maiden convention in Egypt, Iqbal Mulla, Chief Council, GTC said, “We had a very clear focus about the mission and vision of the council from the very start. Unlike the usual tourism conventions, we intend to focus only on the business side of a conference. We are expecting close to 350 people from India and close to 100 suppliers from Egypt at the event. We intend to maintain the quality of delegates to ensure a productive business trip for all our attendees and the destination too.”
