The Hong Kong Tourism Board is inviting food and wine enthusiasts worldwide to savour the culinary delights of Asia’s gastronomic capital with the highly anticipated return of the Hong Kong Wine and Dine Festival. The four-day festival, taking place from October 26th to 29th at Victoria Harbour’s Central Harbourfront Event Space, marks the first physical edition in five years and kicks off a month-long celebration of diverse gastronomy and nightlife throughout November.
The Hong Kong Wine and Dine Festival 2023 promises to be a four-day gourmet extravaganza set against the iconic city skyline, featuring nearly 300 booths offering global food and wine selections. Eligible overseas visitors will receive a complimentary cocktail upon arrival.
Wine enthusiasts can explore wines from 36 countries, with a special focus on classic vintages from France and Italy, as well as emerging regions like Thailand, Moldova, and Finland. The festival also introduces a dedicated display for Chinese Wine Discovery, featuring esteemed merchants from China’s wine regions.
The culinary offerings at the event span from street food to refined hotel delicacies, with vendors such as The Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong participating. The new tasting theatre and hands-on workshops will offer engaging experiences, including sessions like ‘Plant to Plate,’ ‘Origin of the Coffee Bean,’ and ‘The Story of Rice,’ led by celebrity chefs like He Jiansheng from Shunde, Guangdong, and award-winning Taiwanese baker Wu Pao-chun.
Following the festival, November will be abuzz with culinary celebrations as Taste Around Town takes over Hong Kong. This month-long programme boasts over 300 destinations featuring exclusive discounts, limited-time menus, and more, solidifying Hong Kong’s status as a global dining hub.
For connoisseurs of Chinese fine dining, the Chinese Master Chefs’ Curation, running from November 1st to 30th, will showcase the latest trends in Chinese cuisine, including offerings from Michelin-starred restaurants.
Additionally, Hong Kong’s cocktail scene will shine during the HK Bar Show, with over 60 bars crafting Hong Kong-inspired libations and hosting live entertainment. Guests can enjoy limited-time cocktails and creations by guest mixologists.
Chill E.A.T.: Everything About Taste, a month-long series of dining events, will feature over 200 citywide restaurants, offering a platform for rising culinary stars, sustainable dining experiences, sea view dining, and exclusive menus with up to 30% off.
