IndiGo has announced the introduction of direct flights connecting Mumbai and Ayodhya, set to commence on January 15, 2024. The daily flights aim to offer travellers a convenient and efficient means of reaching Ayodhya.

The airline had previously disclosed the initiation of operations from the soon-to-be-inaugurated Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram International Airport in Ayodhya to Delhi starting December 30, 2023. Subsequent commercial flights from Delhi to Ayodhya will begin on January 6, 2024, with services from Ahmedabad to Ayodhya scheduled to commence on January 11, 2024. These strategic flight options to and from Ayodhya facilitate improved accessibility, travel, and commerce in the region.
