IndiGo commences operations from its 86th domestic destination

Maharishi Valmiki International Airport in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, witnessed the commencement of operations by IndiGo. The airline inaugurated its first flights between Delhi and Ayodhya on January 6, 2024, marking the initiation of services to its 86th domestic destination. 

Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, expressed the airline’s satisfaction in commencing operations between Delhi and Ayodhya. He noted that Ayodhya is the 86th domestic destination and the 118th overall destination in the 6E network. Mr. Malhotra mentioned plans to connect Ahmedabad and Mumbai to Ayodhya in the coming weeks. The airline aims to uphold its commitment to providing customers with seamless connectivity through the 6E network, both within India and overseas, while emphasizing affordability, punctuality, courtesy, and hassle-free travel experiences. 

Ayodhya, known for its religious, cultural, and historical significance, attracts travelers and worshippers from around the world. IndiGo’s entry into this city adds to its expanding network, providing more options for passengers seeking connectivity to and from Ayodhya.
