InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) will debut its luxury boutique brand Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants in two new markets next month, with Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok opening in Thailand on 1 October 2020 and Kimpton Shinjuku Tokyo opening in Japan on 2 October 2020.

Located in the Thai capital’s city centre, overlooking the beautiful Lumphini Park, Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok will feature 362 guestrooms and suites, including 131 serviced residences, and a host of stylish facilities and F&B options.

The highlight will be the 320 sqm Celebrity Suite with one king and two double beds, a fully stocked bar, Nespresso coffee machine, bespoke bathroom amenities and a private balcony.

There is also a rooftop infinity pool and a uber-luxe amaranth spa by HARNN offering healing therapies by combining ancient Oriental wisdom and modern cosmetic techniques.

The hotel will have six studio rooms and one boardroom for travellers looking to organise meetings and social events such as weddings and cocktail receptions.

Kimpton Shinjuku Tokyo is located close to the well-known Shibuya Crossing and Shinjuku Station.

It will offer 151 well-appointed guestrooms blending artisanal Japanese woodwork and contemporary elements, making it a perfect stay option for your next trip to the capital city of Japan. The hotel is inspired by New York’s art and fashion scene.

Indulge in a fine selection of cocktails at The Jonas Café and Bar or head to the District – a  modern Tokyo brasserie.

The hotel houses The Chapel for weddings that doubles as an interesting art gallery for hosting exhibitions.

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants was acquired by IHG in 2015 and has since seen exciting growth beyond the US into Greater China and Europe. The brand is set to continue its momentum with over 30 new hotels in destinations including Bali and Paris in April 2021, and Hong Kong and in Malaysia in 2023.
