Minor Hotels is gearing up for a transformative year, unveiling a robust development pipeline that spans Asia, Australia, the Middle East, Africa, and Europe. The international hospitality group plans a series of strategic openings and revitalised properties in 2026, reinforcing its commitment to design innovation, destination-driven concepts, and elevated guest experiences across its diverse brand portfolio.

Asia Leads the Way with Flagship Enhancements

In Thailand, Anantara Hua Hin Resort is marking its 25th anniversary with a full-scale renovation, complete with reimagined accommodation, refreshed dining concepts, and expanded family-friendly facilities. The upgrade underscores the brand’s evolving approach to luxury beach retreats.

A major addition to the Maldives portfolio is on the horizon, with NH Collection Maldives Reethi Resort scheduled to open on 18 December 2025. Situated within the Baa Atoll UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, the resort will feature 105 newly restored beach and overwater villas that celebrate the natural beauty of the archipelago.

Meanwhile, Bangkok’s iconic address Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel is undergoing a comprehensive transformation to be unveiled mid-2026. Highlights include redesigned rooms and suites, a dramatic new arrival experience, and the highly anticipated Jim Thompson Suite, celebrating Thai artistry and heritage.

Also strengthening Minor Hotels’ regional footprint, two Avani properties are slated to launch in 2026—Avani Kota Kinabalu Hotel in Malaysia and Avani+ Lanexang Vientiane in Laos—each offering a modern blend of smart design and vibrant social spaces within city-center locations. In China, the year will conclude with the debut of Anantara Xiling Snow Mountain Resort, bringing alpine luxury to Sichuan province.

Coastal Living and Wellness on Australia’s Sunshine Coast

Australia’s expansion continues with the opening of Avani Mooloolaba Beach Hotel in Q2 2026. The 180-room property embraces coastal relaxation with a wellness-centric approach shaped by AvaniSpa and AvaniFit, inviting guests to connect with the Sunshine Coast’s laid-back outdoor lifestyle.

Middle East and Africa Strengthen Brand Presence

Minor Hotels is also driving momentum across the Middle East and Africa. The relaunch of Anantara Dubai Downtown Hotel in early 2026 will introduce redesigned rooms, contemporary suites, and an updated luxury experience in the heart of the city.

In Zambia, the group will unveil its first-ever tented property—Anantara Kafue River Zambia Tented Camp—where environmentally integrated design brings guests closer to the untamed beauty of Kafue National Park.

Further elevating its portfolio in the Gulf, Tivoli La Vie Muscat Hotel in Oman will introduce the Tivoli brand to the country, offering 79 rooms and 100 serviced residences. In Bahrain, Tivoli and Avani Bilaj Al Jazayer Bahrain Resorts will open in late 2026, marking Minor Hotels’ debut in the Kingdom and unlocking a new chapter of hospitality on the island nation.

European Landmark Developments

Minor Hotels continues to enhance its historic and urban offerings in Europe. NH Collection Paris Ponthieu Champs-Élysées, now open, brings sophisticated elegance to a beautifully preserved 1910 building in the French capital—marking the brand’s first address in Paris.

Italy will welcome Tivoli Palazzo Risorgimento Lecce in Q2 2026, celebrating art and architecture in the heart of Lecce’s baroque district. By year-end, NH Collection Sliema Malta will debut with 268 rooms overlooking one of Malta’s most sought-after coastal neighbourhoods.

A Global Vision for the Future

With four new brands launched in 2025 and an ambition to exceed 850 properties worldwide by 2027, Minor Hotels is poised for a period of accelerated progression. Additional announcements are expected across Japan, Egypt, the Middle East, Europe, and the Americas—signalling continued confidence in global travel demand and the group’s long-term expansion strategy.
