An enriching journey across Morocco’s cultural and luxury highlights aimed at strengthening Indo-Moroccan tourism

In a strategic effort to deepen tourism ties between India and Morocco, the Morocco National Tourism Office (MNTO), in collaboration with the Outbound Tour Operators Association of India (OTOAI), successfully hosted an exclusive FAM Trip to Morocco from 19–26 June 2025.

This carefully curated journey brought together 22 leading Indian travel agents, two senior media professionals, and a travel influencer, with the presence of OTOAI President adding further weight to this high-level engagement. The initiative spotlighted Morocco’s readiness to welcome Indian travellers across segments—from luxury and leisure to FIT and culture-focused groups.

A Journey Through the Kingdom’s Soul

Over the span of 8 experiential days, the delegation explored the heart and heritage of Morocco, starting from Casablanca, with its architectural marvel Hassan II Mosque, to the blue streets of Chefchaouen, the imperial allure of Fès, and the vibrant souks of Marrakech.

Other key destinations included Rabat and Tangier, offering a balanced showcase of Morocco’s coastal charm and historic depth. Travel between cities was made seamless aboard the Al Boraq high-speed train, adding a modern edge to the cultural journey.

Luxury Meets Culture

Participants were hosted at some of Morocco’s finest hotels, including the Four Seasons Casablanca, Fairmont Palais Tazi Tangier, and The Oberoi Marrakech, experiencing the kingdom’s warm hospitality and world-class service firsthand.

From UNESCO World Heritage tours and traditional Moroccan feasts to business networking evenings and a dedicated B2B workshop in Marrakech, the program was designed to foster both cultural immersion and trade engagement.

“This initiative reflects Morocco’s growing commitment to the Indian outbound market,” said an MNTO representative. “The interest and energy from the Indian travel trade have been truly inspiring, and we’re excited for what lies ahead.”

Future-Forward Collaboration

The FAM trip served as a platform to strengthen connections between Indian outbound agents and Moroccan tourism stakeholders, laying the groundwork for future group tours, niche itineraries, and luxury travel collaborations.

MNTO and OTOAI extend their sincere appreciation to all partners and participants who contributed to making this initiative a landmark success in Indo-Moroccan tourism relations.
