Radisson Hotel Group honors Top Performers at Annual Asia Pacific Awards

Radisson Hotel Group has paid tribute to its top-performing hotel teams and individual team members from across the region at its annual Asia Pacific Awards.
Held in conjunction the company’s 2018 Asia Pacific Business Conference, which was hosted at Radisson Golf & Convention Center Batam, this event was attended by more than 200 delegates including Radisson’s Hotel Group’s executive leadership team.

Individual and team titles were awarded in a wide range of categories, based on factors including exceptional performance, guest service and community interaction.

“2017 was a highly successful year for Radisson Hotel Group in Asia Pacific, made possible by our entire team of dedicated and talented professionals. It is a real pleasure to recognize and honor our region’s top performers at our Asia Pacific Awards ceremony; these winners are truly inspirational and embody our company’s “Yes I Can!” service philosophy,” said Robert Chessen, Senior Vice President, Resources, Asia Pacific, Radisson Hotel Group.

“Knowing that we have such a strong and skilled team to drive us forward gives us great optimism and confidence for the future, as we embark on an exciting new phase of growth. I would like to congratulate all the winners and thank them for their outstanding performances,” Robert added.

Radisson Hotel Group’s award winners included Radisson Blu Chittagong Bay View, which was presented with the “Responsible Business Hotel of the Year” title. The Bangladeshi hotel’s team was honored for its efforts in supporting the community, including cleaning local beaches, hosting events for a children’s orphanage, conducting blood drives and donating water purifying equipment to charitable organizations.

Jane Zhang of Radisson Blu Hotel Chongqing Sha Ping Ba was named “General Manager of the Year”. Under her leadership, the hotel achieved an impressive 18 percent rise in revenue and a 33 percent jump in gross operating profit (GOP) in 2017. Her property is also highly active in the local community, ranked number one in China for its Net Promoter Score (NPS) and Jane guided her team to high Medallia scores of 9.2 or above.

The prestigious “Hotel of the Year” title was awarded to Radisson Blu Cebu, which continued to produce highly impressive results in a broad spectrum of areas. It was the highest ranked hotel in Cebu on TripAdvisor for the sixth straight year and the leading NPS hotel in the Southeast Asia & Pacific (SEAP) region. The hotel also successfully hosted a series of high-level events and saw its GOP increase by 21 percent over budget.
