Shibil Malik has been appointed as the first General Manager of Sheraton Grand Chennai Resort & Spa – the premium resort property coming up on the East Coast Road, Chennai. He will be responsible for launching the new resort and positioning it as a destination in itself for unique experiences like no other.
Through his unwavering commitment to service excellence, Malik plans to ensure the resort features amongst the best in the country. His dedication and enthusiasm is admired and emulated by his colleagues.Malik has previously held various positions in the company and has been associated with Marriott’s premium distinct and classic brands – The Westin and Sheraton.
Prior to this role, Malik was the General Manager of Sheraton, Hyderabad, where he headed a challenging assignment of successfully re-positioning a conversion hotel.
With a broad spectrum of hospitality experience over the years, he has played a crucial role in strategizing, re-positioning and assisting in brand augmentation of many prestigious hotels in the country. Malik brings a wealth of experience to his current role, with a total of 18 years, complemented by highly respected sales excellence.
Malik is an avid golfer and a connoisseur of good food, who loves to explore the world, global cuisines and keeps himself abreast with the latest food trends and concepts.
