Soho House and Nobu Amongst New Hotels Opening in Tel Aviv

The hospitality and tourism industries worldwide are in the midst of a modern-day crisis. Despite the current situation, leading designer hotel chains are focusing prominently on Tel Aviv. Hoteliers see the great potential of Tel Aviv, and Israel, as a unique destination, making the country a rising star.

Tel Aviv’s exquisite food culture, bustling nightlife, distinctive architecture, and its never-ending beaches are a few of the characteristics attracting both tourism and business. International chains such as Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Fattal Hotels, Accor, Settai, to name a few, have already established their brands in Israel while other lifestyle brands are including the Start Up nation to their global portfolios.

The city of Tel Aviv has been featured in the top of several international tourism lists due to its record number of visitors in the past few years, while it was named one of the trendiest cities of 2020 earlier this year.

As a result, prominent international hotel brands such as Robert De Niro’s Nobu and the exclusive Soho House, which opened its doors on Juhu Beach in Mumbai in 2018, have chosen to turn their attention to Tel Aviv and establish themselves in Israel this year. The glamorous hotel concepts will offer guests from all over the world the opportunity to explore and experience everything Tel Aviv has to offer.

Soho House

Soho House run hotels, clubs and venues in carefully selected destinations all around the world, from cities like Los Angeles, Berlin to Mumbai. Soho House is renowned for their unique hotel concept – a “second- home”, that fosters their creativity and where guests feel a sense of belonging and companionship with like-minded souls.

The selective member’s club offers opportunities for exclusivity and networking while giving their members privacy. Soho House is slated to open their first hotel in Tel Aviv this year, which will be the brands first hotel in the Middle East.

Nobu

The famous hotel brand Nobu is on track to open their Tel Aviv property this year. All of their hotels are exclusively designed with an overall feel of Japanese minimalism. Every individual hotel design is inspired and characterised by the local surroundings and features city.

This provides guests with a unique experience rich with local culture creatively woven with Japanese atmosphere, regardless of which Nobu hotel they stay in. Once finished the hotel will have 38 rooms, a beautiful garden, a pool, a private rooftop and will be situated on Tel Aviv’s iconic Rothschild Boulevard.

Hôtel BoBo

The Israeli hotel concept Brown Hotels will shortly open its biggest boutique hotel yet in Tel Aviv. “Hôtel BoBo” will have 201 guest rooms and will offer a perfect mix of bohemian and artistic design with luxurious comfort and a breath-taking panorama view over Tel Aviv and the Atlantic Ocean from the rooftop. Hôtel Bobo, located on Yavneh Street, is just steps away from Rothchild Boulevard, ideal for guests to experience the vibrant nightlife, culinary diversity and culture of Tel Aviv.

Selina Neve Tzedek

It was 2014 in a small Panamanian town when an idea was developed by two Israelis – Rafael Museri and Daniel Rudasevski. The idea was based on combining the concepts of a hotel with that of a hostel,integrating the local community – resulting in “Selina”, where travellers and locals meet and share their experiences with each other growing the global travel community.

The property features a restaurant, bar, shared lounge and garden space in Tel Aviv’s artist district, Neve Tzedek. “Selina Gives Back”, an initiative started by the owners, involves all employees volunteering 2% of their working hours towards a range of causes impacting the local community. Guests at Selina Neve Tzedek are welcome to join in if they choose.

Artist Hotel

Atlas Hotel have opened a new hotel in Tel Aviv called “Artist Hotel”. The Artist Hotel is dedicated to showcasing the works of talented local Israeli artists. The hotel offers guests the privilege of experiencing art in an intimate yet authentic manner, whilst enjoying their visit in a modern and creative environment. Artist Hotel has 56 guest rooms and is located on Ben Yehuda Street – steps from Israel’s most prominent art galleries and is 5-minute walk from Tel Aviv’s Beach Promenade.

  • Sam & Blondie – a beautifully restored building on Sheinkin Street which offers 45 uniquely designed double rooms
  • WOM – the new capsule hotel offers affordable single and double rooms in central Tel Aviv on the corner of Ben Yehuda Street and Allenby Street
  • The Opera Hotel – situated in the old opera house on Herbert Samuel street across from the promenade. Currently the hotel offers 60 rooms, which will be expanded during the next few months
  • The Spot Hostel – a hostel that offers both smaller single rooms and dormitories by the harbor in Tel Aviv
