Hilton’s lifestyle brand Tempo by Hilton will make its global debut in New York in 2023.

The brand was first unveiled in 2020, designed for the “ambitious, modern traveller”, and there are currently 20 properties under development.

The first property under the brand will be located in TSX Broadway, a purpose-built 46-storey entertainment and hotel tower at 47th Street and Broadway which will also house The Palace Theatre, a permanent outdoor stage and the “first and only full-building LED façade system in New York”.

Designed by WATG and Mancini Duffy, the 36-floor Tempo by Hilton Times Square at TSX Broadway will feature 661 rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows, offering views of the city and lights of Times Square. The sky lobby, located on the 11th floor, will include communal working spaces as well as a fitness centre and hydration station.

Dining venues will comprise a restaurant with menu items “fit for fuelling for the day ahead”, a bar and lounge offering small plates alongside both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and an outdoor dining terrace overlooking Times Square. The hotel has also partnered with Australian-inspired coffee roaster Bluestone Lane for espresso drinks, teas and juices.

Accommodations will include separate areas for ‘powering up and powering down’, including a ‘Get Ready Zone’ for working, a spacious bathroom with Bluetooth speakers and Apotheke amenities and a sleep area.

Fitness enthusiasts will also be able to book into a Tempo by Hilton Wellness guest room, which features a Peloton spin bike and products from Therabody.

Matt Schuyler, chief brand officer at Hilton, commented on the news:
