The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts continues its steadfast commitment to cultivating future leaders in the hospitality sector. As an organisation prioritising learning, The Leela has unveiled the initiation of the Leela Leadership Development Programme (LLDP) – Class of 2025. On May 19, a fresh cohort of participants were warmly welcomed at The Leela Ambience Gurugram Hotel and Residences. This esteemed programme, developed in collaboration with the Indian School of Hospitality (ISH) and in partnership with Les Roches, an esteemed institute focusing on redefining hospitality education, offers a comprehensive curriculum aimed at nurturing forthcoming leaders in the hospitality domain. It encompasses a blend of boot camps, classroom instruction, online modules, and practical experience across various Leela properties.

Mr. Anuraag Bhatnagar, Chief Executive Officer at The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts, remarked, “At The Leela, our commitment to cultivating future leaders in the hospitality sector is unwavering, as evidenced by our diverse mentoring and learning initiatives, including the Leela Leadership Development Programme and the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity (DEI) initiative – Shefs at The Leela. We are resolute in our dedication to equipping our team and aspiring individuals within the hospitality industry with the requisite tools and opportunities to thrive and realise their full potential. Our aspiration is to nurture dynamic leaders who will chart new paths in the hospitality sector, establishing a legacy of excellence and redefining the benchmarks of luxury hospitality for the future, guided by our ethos – Atithi Devo Bhava.”

The Leela Leadership Development Programme spans a duration of 15 months and is tailored to identify and mentor industry talent through capstone projects, evaluations, and comprehensive guidance at The Leela’s distinguished properties. This programme is meticulously crafted to identify, nurture, and refine the finest talent in the industry, moulding them into the luxury leaders of tomorrow. Furthermore, it facilitates employee growth and expedites their advancement into managerial and future general manager roles within The Leela. Since its inception in May 2022, LLDP has successfully trained two cohorts of talent primed for the evolving demands of the hospitality industry.

The Leela Palaces, Hotels, and Resorts have broadened their training endeavours to bolster gender diversity through the Shefs at The Leela programme. Introduced in 2022, this initiative is aimed at attracting and motivating female talent globally to pursue culinary careers. Committed to fostering an inclusive workplace, The Leela conceived Shefs at The Leela to commend women’s accomplishments in hospitality and foster a supportive community. With its commendable progress, the platform has evolved into a structured development programme this year to address the demand for diverse talent in kitchens and to assist aspiring female chefs in making a mark in the industry.
