80-year-old Grand Postal Building to be the new MICE venue in Bangkok

impact bangkokThe Bangkok-based IMPACT Exhibition Management Company has been awarded the management contract from Thailand Post for the recently restored event space, Grand Postal Building. The historical landmark on Charoen Krung Road in Bangrak district was officially opened on 4 August by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.

The 80-year-old Grand Postal Building is now not only a centre for post and telecommunication services but also serves as a 3,000sqm event, exhibition and conference space over two levels. “We are proud that IMPACT has been honored and is trusted to manage the Grand Postal Building,” says MD of IMPACT Exhibition Management Co, Paul Kanjanapas. “The historic building will serve as a unique venue for hosting conferences, meetings, exhibitions, events and even weddings, car launches and charity events all managed by our expert team.The Postal Heritage Hall on the Ground floor comprises 1,054 sqm. with an area that can seat a maximum of 576 classroom-style seating and 440 banquet style.

The area on the third floor offers three mid-size meeting rooms, namely, The Postcard, The Postal Theatre and The Letter. The Postcard is able to accommodate a maximum of 207 seats theatre style within its 245 sqm. The Postal Theatre, smaller at 144 sqm, can accommodate a maximum of 120 seats and The Letter, 88 seats within an area of 99 sqm.

In addition, at the front of the building, there is an outdoor area of 1,000 sqm. that is available and can be used for many types of activities including festivals, exhibitions, and more, all with the backdrop of the historic building.

The new venue is equipped with the latest WIFI technology and has ample parking spaces.
