TAFI Elects New Managing Committee for 2025–27 Term

The Travel Agents Federation of India (TAFI) has announced its newly elected Managing Committee for the 2025–27 term, following the Federation’s 31st Annual General Meeting (AGM), held on September 26, 2025, at The Mirador Hotel, Mumbai.

Leadership Team Elected

At the helm of the Federation, Abbas Moiz has been elected as President, bringing his extensive industry experience to guide TAFI’s direction in the coming two years. Supporting him will be Anil Kalsi as Vice PresidentHitank Shah as National General Secretary, and Rai Achal Krishna as Treasurer.

The Managing Committee also includes elected members Jitul Mehta, Paulose Mathew, Sunil Uttam, Khushvinder Sarna, and A Bright Manohar, who will contribute to shaping the Federation’s policies, advocacy, and industry engagement.

Co-opted Members

In accordance with TAFI’s bye-laws, four additional members were co-opted during the first meeting of the newly elected committee, held on the same day. These include Shamim Shah, Ronak Shah, Sumita Kashyap, and Shailendra Khare, further strengthening the Federation’s leadership structure.

Continuity and Experience

Providing continuity and mentorship, Ajay Prakash will continue to serve as Immediate Past President, ensuring a smooth transition and contributing to the committee’s strategic initiatives.

Industry Significance

The announcement of the new Managing Committee comes at a critical time for India’s travel and tourism sector, which is navigating strong recovery momentum alongside shifting market dynamics. As one of the country’s most prominent travel trade bodies, TAFI plays a key role in policy advocacy, fostering collaboration among stakeholders, and supporting the growth of outbound and domestic travel.
