Turkish Airlines Surpasses 7 Million Passengers in December 2025, Caps Record Year with 92.6 Million Travelers

Turkish Airlines continued its strong performance in global aviation, carrying 7.3 million passengers in December 2025, according to its latest traffic results. The airline reported robust load factors, with international flights achieving 82.6% and domestic routes slightly higher at 82.7%, reflecting sustained demand across its worldwide network.

Strong International Growth

December 2025 also saw a notable rise in international connectivity. The number of international-to-international passengers grew 14.1%, increasing from 2.8 million in December 2024 to 3.2 million. Meanwhile, available seat kilometers (ASK)—a key measure of capacity—rose 9.2%, reaching 23.3 billion compared to 21.4 billion in the same month of the previous year.

Cargo and mail operations maintained their upward trajectory, with a 15.9% increase over December 2024, totaling 192.4 thousand tons, further highlighting Turkish Airlines’ role as a major freight and logistics carrier in addition to passenger services.

Record-Setting Annual Traffic

Over the full year, from January to December 2025, Turkish Airlines carried 92.6 million passengers, marking an 8.8% increase compared to 2024. International-to-international passenger traffic rose 12.8%, from 31.7 million to 35.7 million, underscoring the airline’s growing global connectivity.

The overall load factor for 2025 stood at 83.2%, with international flights at 82.9% and domestic routes outperforming at 86%, reflecting strong operational efficiency and high demand. Annual ASK increased 7.5%, totaling 273.2 billion, up from 254.1 billion in 2024. Cargo and mail volumes also climbed 8.4% year-over-year, reaching 2.2 million tons, cementing Turkish Airlines’ dual strength in passenger and freight services.

Fleet Expansion Supports Growth

By the end of December 2025, the airline’s fleet had grown to 516 aircraft, consolidating its position as one of the world’s largest and most modern carriers. The traffic results include data from both the main Turkish Airlines brand and AJet, reflecting the airline’s integrated network strategy.

With continued investment in fleet modernization, global connectivity, and operational excellence, Turkish Airlines is positioned to maintain its upward trajectory in 2026, combining passenger growth, cargo expansion, and strong load factors as it furthers its global ambitions.
