French Alpine resort to meet luxury travel advisors in New Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai as it strengthens engagement with India’s high-end travel market.

Courchevel Tourisme will undertake a three-city roadshow in India this September as the French Alpine resort marks its 80th anniversary and steps up engagement with the country’s luxury travel trade.

Organised in partnership with One Rep Global, the roadshow will visit New Delhi on September 8, Kolkata on September 9 and Mumbai on September 11, 2026. The programme will bring together luxury travel advisors and trade partners to showcase Courchevel’s skiing, gastronomy, hospitality, wellness and wider Alpine experiences.

The India programme comes during a landmark year for Courchevel. Founded in 1946, the resort is celebrating eight decades of development as an international winter sports destination. Its official anniversary celebrations will begin on December 4, 2026, with a programme running through the winter season.

Courchevel looks beyond skiing

While skiing remains central to Courchevel’s appeal, the destination is positioning itself to Indian travellers as a year-round luxury experience built around hospitality, gastronomy, wellness, shopping and outdoor activities.

The resort provides access to Les 3 Vallées, one of the world’s major interconnected ski areas, while its range of ski schools caters to visitors from beginners to experienced skiers.

Courchevel’s luxury accommodation portfolio includes 43 hotels, five of them designated Palace properties, while its dining scene includes seven Michelin-starred restaurants with a combined 11 stars, according to the destination’s India roadshow information.

For families and affluent travellers, the destination also offers snow-based activities, wellness experiences, high-end shopping and experiences beyond the ski slopes.

Focus on India’s luxury travel market

The roadshow is designed to give Indian travel advisors a closer understanding of the destination and the experiences available to their clients, with particular emphasis on premium accommodation, gastronomy and activities beyond traditional ski holidays.

Alexia Laine, Director of Courchevel Tourisme, said the expectations of India’s luxury travellers increasingly extend beyond visiting a destination to seeking deeper, multi-generational experiences.

She highlighted Courchevel’s skiing across Les 3 Vallées, its Michelin-starred dining and its hospitality offering as areas that align with the requirements of India’s high-end travel segment.

Hemant Mediratta, Founder and CEO of One Rep Global, said the India programme would focus on helping luxury travellers discover Courchevel through its wider offering, including hospitality, accessibility and experiences away from the slopes.

Ashish Chadha, Founder of Leisure Ways, said the destination’s combination of skiing, hospitality, gastronomy and wellness gives it relevance for both first-time Alpine travellers and experienced visitors looking for a more immersive winter holiday.

80 years of Alpine heritage

Courchevel’s anniversary programme is intended to celebrate the resort’s history while highlighting its future direction. The destination was established in 1946 on a plateau in the Savoie Alps and has since evolved into an internationally recognised winter sports and luxury tourism destination.

The 80th-anniversary celebrations will include events and initiatives throughout 2026, with the main winter programme beginning in December. Among the planned highlights is an anniversary opening celebration on December 4, marking the start of the winter season.

The India roadshow arrives ahead of those celebrations and provides Courchevel with an opportunity to engage directly with travel professionals in three of India’s major luxury travel markets.

For the destination, the initiative forms part of a longer-term effort to strengthen relationships with Indian travel advisors and position Courchevel for travellers looking beyond conventional ski holidays towards premium, experiential and multi-generational Alpine travel.
