Plaza Premium Group has expanded into Thailand with the opening of Plaza Premium First and Plaza Premium Lounge at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport, creating a combined 790-square-metre lounge offering in the airport’s Concourse G.
The dual-lounge concept is located airside on the third floor near Gate G1 and is designed to serve international departing and transfer passengers. Both lounges are open to travellers regardless of airline or class of travel, with walk-in access available alongside advance booking.
The opening marks Plaza Premium Group’s entry into Thailand and adds Bangkok to its international network of independent airport hospitality facilities.
Two lounge concepts, one airport location
Plaza Premium First occupies 212 square metres and accommodates up to 51 guests. The more personalised concept features private lounge bays, shower suites and dedicated concierge assistance.
Its dining offer centres on Primo Dining, with an à la carte menu featuring Thai specialities including Aep Pla, Tom Kha Gai and Northern-style Khao Soi. The lounge’s Aero Bar serves spirits, wine and cocktails, including the Tom Yum-inspired Siamese Martini.
The larger Plaza Premium Lounge covers 578 square metres and can accommodate up to 98 guests. Its facilities include a live kitchen and buffet, with Thai dishes such as Som Tam and Gai Ping skewers, as well as Luk Chup sweets.
Travellers also have access to high-speed Wi-Fi, charging stations, shower facilities, a multi-faith room and family facilities.
Thai culture incorporated into lounge design
Local culture is a central feature of the new Bangkok facilities, with both lounges incorporating works by contemporary Thai artists.
The design programme uses Thai cultural motifs across a range of materials and techniques, including silk embroidery, glass mosaics, plant-dyed textiles and denim-crafted cityscapes.
According to Plaza Premium Group, the approach is intended to give travellers a stronger sense of place while connecting the airport experience with Thailand’s food, art and cultural heritage.
“Thailand remains one of Southeast Asia’s primary aviation and tourism gateways, making Suvarnabhumi Airport a natural home for our flagship dual-lounge launch,” said Song Hoi-See, Founder and CEO of Plaza Premium Group.
He said the Bangkok operation would allow the company to combine Thai flavours and art with a choice of lounge experiences for international travellers.
Supporting Bangkok’s growing international traffic
The opening comes as Suvarnabhumi continues to play a central role in Thailand’s international aviation network. Plaza Premium Group said the airport handled 62.9 million passengers in 2025, with international passengers accounting for more than 80% of total traffic.
Airports of Thailand is also pursuing infrastructure expansion intended to increase the airport’s annual capacity from 65 million to 80 million passengers by 2030.
Kittipong Kittikachorn, General Manager of Suvarnabhumi Airport, said the partnership with Plaza Premium Group would add new facilities for passengers travelling through the airport and support its position as an international gateway.
Access for international and transit passengers
Both lounges are located at Unit G3-010, third floor, Concourse G, in the airside international departures area.
Plaza Premium Group states that access is available to international departing and transferring passengers irrespective of airline or travel class. Guests can enter without making an advance reservation, while bookings can also be made through the company’s official website.
The official Plaza Premium booking pages currently list the two facilities as operating 24 hours a day. Plaza Premium First is listed from THB 2,400, while Plaza Premium Lounge is listed from THB 1,750; prices are subject to the selected package and booking conditions.
With the Bangkok launch, Plaza Premium Group is extending its independent airport-lounge model into Thailand while giving passengers at one of Southeast Asia’s major aviation hubs a choice between a more personalised premium experience and a larger lounge focused on comfort, local cuisine and practical amenities.
