The nine-acre property features 17 villas, cottages and residences, alongside destination-inspired dining, wellness facilities and curated experiences rooted in Rajasthan’s natural and cultural heritage.
Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has announced the opening of Brij Tara, a luxury retreat in Ranthambore, Rajasthan, designed to connect guests with the region’s wildlife, landscape and cultural traditions.
Spread across nine acres, the property comprises 17 villas, cottages and residences, offering an intimate accommodation experience amid the natural surroundings of one of Rajasthan’s best-known wildlife destinations.
The retreat’s dining offering draws on regional flavours and varied culinary styles. Tara Mahal, the all-day dining restaurant, celebrates Rajasthan’s culinary heritage, while Mehfil is a bar inspired by the local landscape and wildlife. Taalab, the poolside dining venue, specialises in wood-fired and charcoal-grilled dishes.
Wellness is another feature of the property, with Arama Spa offering therapies focused on holistic well-being. Guests can also take part in wildlife safaris, birdwatching excursions and guided nature walks, alongside curated experiences such as bush dinners, meetings with local artisans and stargazing.
Udit Kumar, co-founder of Brij, said the retreat reflects the brand’s approach to creating intimate properties shaped by their surroundings. He described Brij Tara as an extension of that philosophy, combining nature, local culture and the rhythms of the wilderness to offer guests a more immersive experience of Ranthambore.
The opening adds to IHCL’s wider hospitality portfolio. The company has reported a global portfolio of 670 hotels, with a further 280 in its development pipeline, underscoring its continued expansion across the hospitality sector.
With its combination of small-scale accommodation, regional cuisine, wellness and nature-based activities, Brij Tara aims to appeal to travellers seeking a more immersive luxury stay in Ranthambore.
